North City Volunteer Work- Meet Cynthia

Cynthia was a victim of crime a very long time before the tornado and had been living without plumbing for YEARS. She survived the tornado by holding onto a stone wall but came home to her roof destroyed, chimneys collapsed, several windows blown out, her fence gone, her storage shed gone along with all its contents and no electricity for almost a month. With no roof for weeks, during a rainy season, mold has set in everywhere. With your help, so many volunteers (special shout out to Happy Roof Company for replacing her roof for FREE), we have cleared trees for weeks, debris for weeks, stacked bricks, rented dumpsters and then some. We need physical help, monetary help and your help in spreading the word. We have ways to help below to help keep her in her home that has been in her family for over 80 years.

Between Urban League and our followers hotel point donations we have her housed through the end of September. But we will need continued volunteer and monetary support to get the home mold free and one safe bedroom and hopefully a working bathroom by then. We appreciate all your help!
